Shipping Weight Calculations

Shipping in India - For example you bought a product and it's weight is 0.300 kgs. You can still add another 0.700 kgs and  pay the same shipping price. That is because shipping is calculated every 1 kg. Only when it exceeds 1 kg will you be charged for the next kg. So go ahead and max your shipping weight for the same price :)

Shipping Abroad - DHL shipping is calculated every 500 grams. For example you bought a product 200 grams, you can add another 300 grams and still pay the same shipping price. Only when you go above 500 grams, it will be charged for the next 500 grams. So go ahead and max your shipping weight for the same price :)

Shipping Abroad - Indian Post shipping is calculated every 1 kgs.  For example you bought a product and it's weight is 0.500 kgs. You can still add another 0.500 kgs and  pay the same shipping price. That is because shipping is calculated every 1 kg. Only when it exceeds 1 kg will you be charged for the next kg. So go ahead and max your shipping weight for the same price :)

Shipping Information India

Mayapurmemories uses DTDC to ship item with in India. It mostly uses air transport service of DTDC and at times surface transport as well. Whatever we find is suitable to ship to your area ,we will use that method. For air transport it will take about 2-4 days. For surface transport it will take 7-14 days with in India.

Shipping Information out of India

Mayapurmemories uses DHL , FedEx and Indian government registered and non-registered post to send its items. We may use other courier services as well. 

The default shipping partner is DHL. DHL will in general deliver your parcel within 4-7 working days. Mode of transport is Air. Please note DHL requires to follow certain guidelines that are set according to different countries it ships to.

The good thing about shipping with DHL is that it has a step by step tracking system. You can be at peace tracking your item. Customers have always given great feedback about DHL services and efficiency.


Mayapurmemories can also ship your items through government post registered and unregistered. Registered ones will have a tracking no and shorter time span for delivery. While the unregistered post won’t have any tracking no and takes about 2-6 weeks for delivery. If you want to use government post services please contact us and we will make such arrangements. The good thing about government post is that for wooden items you do not need to irradiate the items and therefore costs can be avoided also the prices are a little less. But government post does have certain restrictions. For details on prices and shipment options please contact us. Also tracking is not available once the products leavs India. You will have to check from your side after that.


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Nnewspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
